The Ponoka Industrial Airport - Labrie Field is located just south of Ponoka on Highway 2A.  It is served by a newly implemented GPS Instrument Approach system. There are 3 aircraft maintenance facilities on the field, which is open all year long.  The 941 metre (3,088 foot) paved runway and taxiways are kept clear of snow throughout the winter.   There is also on-site fuel and maintenance service and there are no landing fees.

An added advantage of Ponoka’s airport is that it is the only airport in central Alberta with CANPASS service. This means that aircraft can quickly clear customs into Canada at Ponoka, rather than Calgary or Edmonton. It involves a telephone call to the CANPASS office prior to flight commencement for permission to land at the Ponoka Airport.
